The last berth of the 2009 Men's European B Championships in Lugano, Switzerland was seized by Poland this weekend. The 2002 gold medallist won both matches at the three-team-tournament in Coimbra, Portugal, when head coach Edward Kujawa's players beat Czech Republic 8-4 and home team Portugal 10-4. Two other tournaments had been contested the weekend before in Odense, Denmark and Gzira, Malta, so that all twelve participants in this year's championships to be held 6-13 September near the Swiss-Italian border are known now.
